Threema is End-to-end encrypted: All your communication is encrypted with state-of-the-art algorithms and can only be read by the intended recipient. Threema is open source, which means that the code is public and can be reviewed by anyone. You can be sure that there are no backdoors or hidden flaws. Threema claims that your data is never shared with third parties and stays on your device. Threema uses a trusted open source cryptography library for encryption (NaCl). The encryption keys are generated and safely stored on users’ devices to prevent backdoor access or copies.
